		<description>It was a little rough at times, but I kept holding out the hope that there would be some resolution. Like I said, most things came back around in the end. It does make me look forward to reading his other works even if I didn&#039;t enjoy this one so much.</description>

		<description>OK I admit it, you have way more perseverance than I.  I also picked up this book because of the influence MacDonald had on Tolkien et al.  I found it totally unreadable. Random is kind Adam.
I may dig it out and try the second story at some point though if you say it is that good.
BTW in some of my fiber blog searches, some of the best knitters are men.....</description>
