I was reflecting last night on days gone by and I recalled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. They were almost enough to snuff my ninja ambitions. How can you take something so cool and make it look so ridiculous. Luckily for them they had the pink ranger or I would have never watched. Snake Eyes; Stormshadow; YES! I wanted to throw shurikens and use nunchuks. My dad (being the super dad) fed this desire. He bought me some shurikens for my birthday. Then for Christmas he got me some wooden nunchuks. I once also owned a blow gun. Lot of fun...however, I never put the three together into a deadly killing force. My inspiration for ninjadom was Snake Eyes and Stormshadow. But I didn't want to kill people. So I guess I just wanted to be a cartoon ninja where you throw people off really high buildings or blow them up with secret bombs, but you never see the pool of blood afterwards - or bones or brains - they weren't people that died - they were just obstacles. :) I always wanted to be a ninja too.
